My
little monkey, you are 5 months old already and mummy's not quite sure where
that time has gone but i can barely remember what my life was like without you
in it. You are changing and growing before my eyes every single day and it
makes me incredibly proud to see how far you've come in such a short space of
time.
You've
given us lots more smiles this month, not windy smiles but real smiles and what
beautiful ones they are too.I
love the way your face lights up into a huge grin every time you see me or your
daddy. The highlight of my day is first thing in the morning when i can hear
you stirring in your room, you give a tiny 'i'm awake' cry and the minute i
walk into the nursery and peer in to your cot, you give me the biggest smile
possible and it just melts my heart every time.
You have really
started to make and hold eye contact with people and seem to be a very social
baby who loves attention and being around people. None more so than your big
cousin Tia, you are the apple of her eye and i'm in no doubt that she's yours.
I just know you two are going to grow up to be the best of friends.
You stay awake for
longer periods during the day now and have also begun to take interest in a few
toys and objects, especially the hanging ones within easy reach on your bouncer
and play gym.
You started
teething this month and despite showing no interest in a dummy previously and
against my better judgement, i've found it to be the only way of comforting and
soothing you so as long as your happy, mummy's happy.
This past month
has seen you become more alert and interactive and i can't wait to see what the
next month will bring.
